1. Self-service flight cancellation via 'Manage my booking'
If you want to cancel your booking by yourself, you can do so by signing into our Manage My Booking portal. In this interface you'll be directed to make changes or cancel your Turkish Airlines booking. Throughout the cancellation process you will be able to see the amount you are entitled to as a refund based on Turkish Airlines cancellation policy, outlined in their contract of carriage. This allows you to make a decision as to whether you would like to cancel your flights or not.
If you added Cancellation Protection to your Turkish Airlines flights, you can get a full refund if you need to cancel your flights for emergency reasons. The details outlining what events are considered emergency can be found within our Cancellation Protection Terms and Conditions.
Note: Most airlines tickets are non-refundable as per the terms and conditions of the airline.

Can I get a refund for my Turkish Airlines flight cancellation?
You can get a refund on any Turkish Airlines ticket except their basic economy tickets (Ecofly tickets). If you have purchased one of their more premium ticket classes (Extrafly, Primefly and Business) then you can claim a refund for your ticket, for a small cancellation fee. It should be noted that if you choose to cancel your Turkish Airlines booking within 12 hours of your scheduled departing flight, the cancellation fee increases slightly.
If you have an economy class ticket with Turkish Airlines but still want a refund, your options depend on which (if any) ancillary packages you added to your booking. The amount you receive will be compliant with your selected package when you choose to cancel your flights. This will be a full refund for Cancellation Protection (only eligible for emergencies).
Cancellation Protection
Cancellation Protection allows you to claim a full refund if you need to cancel your Turkish Airlines flights due to unexpected emergency circumstances. Some examples of situations considered 'emergency' include court summons, personal injury or failure of personal/public transport. If you cancel your booking with Cancellation Protection applied then you can claim a full refund, subject to a small cancellation fee which is automatically deducted from your final refund amount. Can you cancel a Turkish Airlines flight within 24 hours?
You can cancel all Turkish Airlines flights within 24 hours except economy class (Ecofly) tickets. It should be noted that cancelling flights in this manner does not guarantee a full refund, and refunds received will have a small cancellation fee applied, outlined by Turkish Airlines full terms and conditions. What is Turkish Airlines cancellation policy?
Turkish Airlines has a very strict no cancellation policy on economy (Ecofly) tickets. They do not offer compensation for cancellations in any capacity. This applies both to domestic and international flights. Click here to view the full list of Turkish Airlines terms and conditions and learn more.
For more premium tickets offered by Turkish Airlines (Extrafly, Primefly and Business) their policy differs slightly.
If the scheduled departing flight is more than 12 hours away, you can cancel the ticket with a TRY 375 penalty fee. The remaining amount will be refunded. If the flight cancelled is flying into or out of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus-Ercan and is more than 12 hours, passengers can cancel/refund the ticket with a TRY 500 penalty fee, and the remaining amount will be refunded.
If the scheduled flight time is between 1-12 hours away, a TRY 560 deduction is made on cancelations and the rest will be refunded. If the flight cancelled is flying into or out of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus-Ercan and the flight time is between 1-12 hours away, passengers can cancel/refund the ticket with a TRY 720 penalty fee.
