There are many reasons why travellers need flights for dogs whether it's because they want to bring their dog on a sunny vacation or if it's because they're looking to permanently relocate to another country.
Below you'll find a list of some of the airlines and the rules they have for transporting dogs
Cabin: American Airlines lets you bring 1 kennel as your carry-on baggage.
Hold: Dogs are allowed to be transported as cargo. Please note that there is a limit on the number of pets that can be transported at once. Up to 2 pets may be checked. Pets shouldn't weigh more than 45kg.
Cabin: Delta allows dogs to be transported in the cabin. Your bag must be kept inside a small ventilated pet carrier and should fit under the seat in front of you.
Hold: If your dog is too large to fit under your seat then you must transport them as cargo.
Cabin: Turkish Airlines allows pets weighing less than 8kg to be transported in the cabin
Hold: Dogs weighing more than 8kg must be transported in the hold.
Cabin: British Airways doesn't allow dogs on board.
Hold: If you wish to bring your dog with you then they must be transported in the hold of the aircraft.
Cabin: Dogs aren't permitted on board unless they are guide dogs.
Hold: Dogs must be at 4 months to be able to travel in the hold. Your pet must not exceed the weight and dimension policies or your pet will be denied onboard.
Cabin: Air Canada permits dogs on board as long as they fit within the carry-on rules.
Hold: Only one dog is allowed per passenger. Dogs must be over 10 weeks old to travel in the hold.
Cabin: Dogs weighing less than 8kg (including the travel container) can be transported in the cabin. Rules may vary depending on the aircraft you travel in.
Hold: Dogs over 8kg must be transported in the hold of the aircraft.
Cabin: Dogs weighing less than 8kg can be transported as carry-on baggage. Please note that dogs must be 12 weeks or older to be able to travel (this may vary depending on the destination that you fly to/from)
Hold: Dogs that weigh more than 8kg (including the travel case) must be transported in the hold.
Cabin: Dogs that weigh less than 8kg and don't exceed the dimensions of 46×28×24 cm can be transported in the cabin. Dogs must be at least 15 weeks old to travel with KLM.
Hold: Dogs can be transported in the hold but they must not weigh more than 75kg including the travel bag.
Cabin: easyJet doesn't allow any dogs on board.
Hold: Dogs are not permitted on board.
Cabin: Vueling doesn't allow dogs to be carried in the cabin.
Hold: Dogs aren't allowed on board.
Cabin: Ryanair doesn't allow pets on board.
