Insurance policy 📜
As part of the standard rental agreement, your Payless car rental automatically comes with 3rd party insurance.
This means that any damage you cause to another person's vehicle will be covered by insurance.
Age policy 🔞
The Payless car rental minimum age is 21. However, this can vary slightly by location.
Renters aged 21 to 24 will be charged an additional fee compared to other age brackets.
You must be over 25 years old if you're not the leading driver.
Additional driver fees ➕
Additional drivers must be at least 25 years old.
You will be charged an additional fee for each additional driver. There are exceptions to this, such as if the added driver is your employee and you're driving for corporate purposes, or if the extra driver is your spouse/domestic partner.
If someone drives your rental and isn't added to the additional driver list, you will lose your rental insurance coverage.
Late fees ⏰
Payless has a 29-minute grace period. If you return your rental 29 minutes late or less, you won't be charged any additional fees.
Rentals returned more than 29 minutes late will incur additional hourly fees.
If you return your Payless car rental more than 2 hours late, you will be charged an additional day's fee.
