Cancelling my Allegiant flights at Alternative Airlines

Booked your Allegiant flights with Alternative Airlines but want to cancel? There are two ways you can cancel your Allegiant flights on our platform. You can either cancel through the Manage My Booking portal or get in touch with our Customer Service team who can help you make the cancellation.


1. Self-service flight cancellation via 'Manage my booking'

  • Simply sign in online through the Manage My Booking portal with your booking reference.
  • You should see an option to manage and cancel your Allegiant flights. Before you proceed with your cancellation, we'll show you the total refund that you'll be entitled to based on the fare rules of the airline you're flying with.
  • If Cancellation Protection was added to your booking, you can cancel your Allegiant flight for specific emergency reasons and claim your refund here.

Please note that many flight tickets are non-refundable, as per the airline's terms and conditions.

Can I get a refund for my Allegiant flight cancellation?

You'll be able to get a full or partial refund for your Allegiant flight cancellation if you purchased a refundable Allegiant ticket or if you added Cancellation Protection cover during the booking process on our platform.


Refundable Allegiant flights

  • If you purchased a refundable flight with Allegiant, you can potentially receive a refund before departure with only the cost of the cancellation fee deducted from your refund.
  • You can check to see if your Allegiant flight is refundable within the fare rules during the booking process.


Cancellation Protection

  • You can protect your Allegiant flights with Cancellation Protection. If you added Cancellation Protection to your Allegiant booking, you'll be entitled to a full refund if you need to cancel your Allegiant flight due to emergency reasons.

Can you cancel an Allegiant flight within 24 hours?

As with many airlines, Allegiant's cancellation policy states that if you cancel your booking within 24 hours of booking, you're eligible for a full refund. This is known as the 24-hour refund policy.

If you booked your Allegiant Air flights with Alternative Airlines, you can cancel within 24 hours of your purchase and get a refund but you will need to contact us immediately.

  • Please be aware that if you contact us outside of business hours to cancel your Allegiant flights and the 24-hour window has elapsed by the time we have received your refund request, we may not be able to honour the 24-hour cancellation policy as Allegiant Air may not allow us to issue the refund.
  • Please ensure you contact us between 9am - 8pm UK time if you wish to cancel your Allegiant Air booking within the 24-hour cancellation window and receive a refund.

Can I cancel an Allegiant flight without penalty?

Yes but only if you follow Allegiant's 24-hour cancellation policy, or if you use our flight cancellation protection products:

  • Cancel your Allegiant flight within 24 hours of when you first made your booking and get a full refund. If you booked your Allegiant flight at Alternative Airlines, please ensure you contact us between 9am - 8pm UK time so that we can quickly process your cancellation request and get the refund to you.
  • Add Cancellation Protection during the booking process. It's a small cost to pay but you'll be eligible for a full refund if you need to cancel your Allegiant flight for emergency circumstances.
  • Book a refundable flight. You can check to see if your flight is refundable within the fare rules before checkout.
How do I cancel an Allegiant flight?
  • If you have booked your Allegiant flights through Alternative Airlines, you can request a cancellation and refund through Self-Service Cancellation in the Manage My Booking portal. Alternatively, you can reach out to our Customer Service team who will be more than happy to help you through the Southwest cancellation process.
  • If you added Cancellation Protection to your Allegiant flights during the booking process, you're eligible for a full refund if you need to cancel your flight due to certain emergency reasons.
How do I request a refund for an Allegiant flight?

Get a full refund through Cancellation Protection:
To request a refund for your Allegiant flight with Cancellation Protection purchased, you can visit the 'Claim Your Refund' page. You'll need to prove that you weren't able to board your Allegiant flight due to an emergency circumstance. If you need help with this, you can contact us.

Get a refund from a refundable Allegiant ticket:
If you booked a refundable Allegiant flight and wish to cancel, you'll be eligible for a refund minus any cancellation fees needed to process that refund. A non-refundable ticket won't be eligible for a refund.

What is Allegiant's cancellation policy?

Allegiant Air will give you a full refund if you decide to cancel your flight within the 24-hour booking window. After this window has passed, you won't be eligible for a full refund and may need to pay a cancellation fee.

For Allegiant bookings made through Alternative Airlines, we advise that you cancel your Allegiant flight ticket through us during our opening hours (9am - 8pm GMT) so that we can offer a full refund if you do so within Allegiant's 24-hour cancellation policy window. 

If you contact us after business hours, we might not get your refund request and the 24-hour window might have passed, in which case we won't be able to honour the 24-hour refund policy.
