What are arrival cards?

An arrival card is also known as an incoming passenger card, landing card, or disembarkation card.

Some countries require passengers to complete an arrival card as a condition of entry. This is a legal document submitted to immigration officials on arrival. Requirements vary by destination. In some cases, one card is needed per traveller. In others, one card may cover a family group, or apply only to non-citizens.

Arrival cards collect information that is not always shown in a passport. This can include your reason for travel, length of stay, accommodation details, and health or customs-related declarations. In certain countries, an arrival card is required alongside a separate customs declaration, rather than replacing it.

For destinations that still require one, an arrival card is usually needed in addition to a passport and, where applicable, a valid visa or travel authorisation.
